Keeping our history alive.

Our History and heritage are the foundations communities are built upon. On these foundations rest some of the most exciting and interesting features of our park system. Stone buildings crafted decades ago, A Merry-Go-Round that is the last of its kind, A huge Kids Kastle for children and adults to play tag on, and one of our most photographed features the water fall at Krape Park to name just a few attractions in our parks system worth preserving for generations to come.

The Freeport Parks Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created to provide resources beyond conventional public funding to enrich and enhance the Freeport Park District. The Parks Foundation is committed to assisting the Freeport Park District to reach its full potential in terms of land acquisition, facilities enhancements, park beautification, and event programming.

What can you do to help?

Your generosity and donations  will be put to good use all gifts can be designated for special purposes, projects, endowments, or may be left unrestricted so the Freeport Parks Foundation can direct funds to projects as needed.
